While we were in Ma for a wedding. Pics here http://public.fotki.com/Declangpics/the-egan-wedding/
we went into the restaurant at the Holiday Inn, it was called Pike's Peak and had an old time miner's theme to it. Anyway, they had a bar and we sat drinking there afterward and chatting with friends jsut showing up for the wedding. A drunk girl who got dittched by her friend ( for obviois reaosns to us, LOL) asked me if i was a ahirdresser. Surprised, i said yes, and then she came over and offered me a job at a salon she wants to open. A topless ahir salon. Oh yes, topless indeed, of course. i was a bit surprised, and even more so when she told me she wanted to name it Sluts and Cuts. Of course, the city or state ordinance's were like Um No, you can;'t have a business with sluts in the name, so she was gonna call it. I alittle ofthe top LMAO. Luckily I could escape by saying I lived in North carolina. Thank heaven for little miracles.

My cat is Mick Jagger

Wow, your cat is Mick Jagger!
Mick Jagger
Rock Star
A super-trooper who gathers no moss, moby is rock and roll legend Sir Mick Jagger!
The ePETome of someone who knows how to have a good time, moby is a mover and a shaker, onstage and off. His luck with his lady friends is legendary and moby has obliged many of them by giving them a little shelter. Known for his unique meow, moby relishes his time in the spotlight and loves to let loose and give his audience what they expect. Unable to get satisfaction, he and his pals still paw away at the prize, clinging to the memories of the past as he continues to churn out the hits that made him a leader of the pack.

Mo in action
Moby loves the deck and being outside, so he was hanging with me while I was taking the flowered tree shots. Only one cam eout because he was on the move and rubbing against everything. the seocnd shot is him inside a rug. I rolled it up because we were geting rid of it, and of ocurse he couldn't resist shoving himself inside like a burrito.

North Carolina Snow
I've kind of been neglecting this place, it seems. I was surprised when I noitced it's been a month since I posted anything. Life is busy I guess, but anyhoooo, it snowed last Saturday, here in Raliegh, and it snowed all day too, but of course, the ground was too warm for it to stick, but everyone freaks out, so I actually got out of work 1 1/2 hours ealry on sat, so that cna't be a bad thing. but for your viewing pleasure, is the snow, the next day, and caused havoc and school closings and accidents.

Christmas Nummings

Well, we might have actually had it the day after Christmas, whenI actually felt like cooking, but nonetheless, Christmas dinner was delicious. The turkey roulade came out really good, roulades are my newest things. and everything else was good too, we did take our 'annual" pic in fornt of the tree though on Christmas day.

Happyland, Raleigh, NC
Everyone knows about this place around here, so we had to go see it, so with hot choclate in hand and xmas tunes cranking we went off to search for it, and we found it. It's pretty amazing.
Note the spaceship * it had smoke action* spongebob's bikini bottom set, a moving green dinosaur, and many other things that came out too blurry. I especially love the Santa doing a water ski jump with the shark coming up form behind.

My birthday post ( 2nd time around)
So, my family actually did call me, in fact my mother called right after i posted the first post, but nothing was much different from our conversations in the past. I've come to expect no less. My FIL, sister, and MIL called throughout the day, which was ncie as well, especially since i have not spoken to my sister since labor day, I think, possibly before that. It's jsut damn near impossible to get it touch with hre, between her work schedule and whatnot. i did learn my 18yr old nephew CJ :)got his driver's license, finally. woohoo! now for the 17yr to do it as well. LOL.I also had a few surprises in my mail bo, and I'll post that pic in a bit. Chris and I went to an irish pub I found called the Hibernian
and the food was aweosme, we loved the cozy atmosphere, dark wood, and the staff were friendly. I'm thinkin of writing a review, heehee. anyway, we had ballymaloe mushrooms, which were two mushrooms center to center filled with garlic cream cheese, and battered, deep fried and served with a creamy horseradish sauce. My only complaint, i would have liked a wee bit more horseradish, but they were awesome.

as you can see.

and then i had Guiness irish Stew, and Chris had Shepard's Pie, with lamb, no less. Both were excellant, and I couldn't finish mine.

and then onto dessert. I did nto take a picture, as i think the staff thougth i was weird enough taking pics of my food. LOL, but needless to say it was very good. I had an orange choclate guiness cake. Now i am not so much into choclate desserts. i prefer a piece of choccie to osmething choccie flavored, but this was divine, over the top rich, but not over the top sweet, and the hint of Guiness and orange was spectacular. Are you hungry yet??? heehee.
so, onto the pressies. anyone who knows me, knows I love Eeyore, so Eeyore pressies are always appropriate. and the fam obliged me in this obsession as well.

so all in all, it turned out to be a filling and satisfying day.

Yet another birthday
Yes, today is the day, it is the day that I am over the hump of 30dom and smack dab on my way to 40dom. I turn 36 today, and I don't really feel any different, or any older, although I can attest to the fact that I do feel older than 26. The bones and the myucles moan and groan a lot more than they did back then. So, this is also the first birthday I am away from all of my family and friends, online friends are the best really, they remember this stuff, and it's so easy to snd an email, a comment or a quick note somewhere, and some even send real honest to goodness cards. I never got to get to the mailbox yesterday, but it almost seems moot. My family hadn't called, and while it's still fairly early, you think my Mother would have called, most liely she forgets what day it is entirely. If it's not right in fornt of her face, then it doesn't exist. So, we shall see what the day borngs, on the family front. I guess I'm musing over this and contemplating it more because I am alone, I have to say while a nice break, not working sucks,it definitely keeps the mind and spirit occupied. So, off I go marching into late 30dom, barrels stocked, and guns a blazing, yet quietly just the same, just the same.

Best of both worlds

forme that is. fried foods, and pickles. I love both, so why not combine them?
I had heard about these little chippie jewels, and Chris and i went to a pub not far form here. Our first restaurants eat out here :) I saw these on the menu and had to have them. They taste pretty much like dill flavored potato chips, but greasier and saltier and so much more yummier. I forsake the ranch dipping sauce and went full blown dill. I was in heaven!!! I have to have more! LOL.
